Sera from Fabulous Frippery

Sera is the artist behind Fabulous Frippery.

She makes elaborate, hand embroidered collars and occasionally dabbles in other art forms such as repurposed art dolls.   She is inspired by colour and social justice issues that make her passionate.  

Sera started her artistic journey when she picked up a package of polymer clay at a fabric store.  Her intention was to make a set of buttons for a coat.  Many thousands of buttons, beads and baubles later – she still loves polymer clay as an artistic medium.  She cites its flexibility, its durability and the ability to make it mimic so many other mediums (faux gemstones, faux glass, faux wood etc).  

Sera taught classes in polymer clay techniques for many years, but is now retired.  She now spends her free time dozing in front of the television and working on her latest artistic creation.
