The wheel thrown and hand built decorated ceramic ware of Sue Hulland combine her interest in the history and pattern of different cultures. She works in the majolica and slip decorative traditions using a variety of earthenware bodies.
Born in England her formative years were spent travelling widely that resulted in an appreciation of different art forms.
Sue has a BA Honours in Fine Art and an Associate Diploma in Ceramics.
As an educator Sue worked as a coordinator and facilitator in the TAFE system for many years.
She has a studio on the far north coast of NSW and has recently completed a period of work with The Pottery Shed in Surry Hills where she taught hand building, glaze and wheel throwing.
